Students are required to complete a number of Units of Competencies (UoCs) to enable them to satisfactorily complete their VCAL certificate.
The Units of Competencies delivered as part of the KYPP program are designed to give students life and employment skills in different areas. This allows students to gain skills and experience necessary to successfully gain employment or to undertake further education towards their career goal.
Assessment may be a combination of oral assessment, written assignments, tests, practical application projects and observation.
Recognition of prior learning
Students may be able to shorten the length of their chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Kurnai College.
When undertaking the course, students must be enrolled in the KYPP program as a VCAL student.
Further study opportunities include entry onto a Certificate II, III, IV and Diploma programs at other study locations.
Enrolment in this program is at the start of the school year, February/March. However, we can take enrolments anytime of the school year, if needed.
This course is delivered on Thursdays, 10.00am - 2.00pm.
